Our Story
“When we decided to start our own concierge hospice services, I had no idea that I would be reminded of a memory so close to my heart, which would inevitably become the entire meaning behind our name.”
After I graduated from nursing school, my nana proudly placed her delicate hands on either side of my face to say, “Honey, You are living my dream.” Little did I know, my nana had always wanted to be a nurse. Fast forward 13 years, and I have now learned that my nana spent most of her adult life caring for individuals in their final stages of life. At that moment, I knew I had to continue her legacy, her dream, and her passion.
Rev. Joe and Sue Coulter, my nana and papa, were legends. They traveled the world to preach the gospel and laid their hands on the hurting, the sick, and the lost. They were my Ambassadors of Faith, and Papa was a powerhouse behind a pulpit.
How do I personify and embody the life of my grandparents, who meant the world to me and so many around them?
Without my grandparents' support in so many ways, I would not be embarking on such a meaningful journey today.
Myself and my team of excellent staff have set forth a journey to be the “Coulter’s Hands” of the world, and to provide excellent, quality care to individuals on their journey to Heaven.

Meet the Coffey Family
We moved to Charlotte, NC in the fall of 2016 from Memphis, TN. We were both born and raised in the Memphis area and attended the University of Memphis. We have two children Amelia and Phoenix. As a family, we attend the First Baptist of Indian Trail church, where both of our children also attend school. We enjoy our family time by camping, playing on the beach, backyard movie nights, and Friday night game nights. Game nights can be quite competitive in the Coffey house. Both Amelia and Phoenix enjoy playing soccer and swimming outside of school. Together, the Coffey family have been praying for Coulter’s Hands nurses and nursing assistants as we embark on a journey together to care for our hospice patients and their families.
Meet the Team

I am a dedicated Director of Recontruction at ServPro located in Concord,NC, Greensboro, NC and Winston-Salem, NC where I manage restoration and disaster recovery projects. I find comfort and peace by bringing passion for leadership and helping others in the community. I attended the University of Memphis, where I studied History as my primary major. I am a Tennessee Vols fan and enjoy taking my son to sports events and my daughter on daddy/daughter dates . Balancing my professional responsibilities with my personal passion, I strive to bring the same dedication and drive to every aspect of life.
When my wife Katrina came to me one day with such a heavy heart for her calling, I knew God had something planned so big for her and I am honored to walk along this journey as a family. We both strive to reach those who are faced with their final chapter here on earth and are truly honored and blessed that God has called us to be his hands and feet.

In 2011, I graduated from the University of Memphis with honors, and traveled during that time to the Dominican Republic where I had the opportunity to deliver nursing care to individuals without access to healthcare. During my 13 years of nursing, I have had the opportunity to care for many patients in different settings including orthopedics, ICU, MedSurg, surgical oncology, and hospice. With a deep passion for providing end-of-life care. I have spent the past 8 years focusing on the needs of terminally ill patients and their families. I have provided hospice care in various settings, and combined clinical expertise with heartfelt empathy. I am committed to supporting families through difficult times by providing pain management, emotional support, and holistic care.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy being a wife and a mother. In my spare time, I find peace and comfort in reading, cooking, taking walks, and prayer.
In honor of my precious grandparents; Joe and Sue Coulter, and all of the patients I have cared for during my many years of hospice nursing; My husband Tim and I are the very proud founder’s and CEO of “Coulter’s Hands”. We are dedicated to providing each patient with the quality nursing care everyone deserves during their final journey of life.
